PADDY POWER POKER REVIEW

Paddy Power was founded in 1988 when three existing Irish high street bookmakers decided to merge together, they did'nt launch their online cardroom until 2005 but it quickly became a huge success due to their decision to be part of the iPoker network. Nowadays, the iPoker network is the third busiest place to play on the internet and the software they use comes from Playtech who have become one of the industry leaders. Details of their random number generator testing are available via their website, which is normally a very good sign, they also use 128-bit SSL encryption, which as a former network engineer, I can vouch that they are using a high level of encryption, so security, privacy and game integrity are more than just an afterthought, they are on par with the top online cardrooms in this respect.

The lobby has a clean and uncomplicated look about it and navigation is easy thanks to the sidemenu and filters, which make finding a suitable game a doddle. The software had everything I required in order to get the most out of my month long review of their cardroom, the player note taking facility has unlimited space for each opponent, the hand history allows you to review old hands and I could see ones I had played over a year ago, you can play up to 15 tables at the same time, so all the important features are covered.

The traffic seems spread across the whole site a lot more than some other cardrooms I could mention, they benefit from traffic provided by the iPoker network, which as mentioned before means they are the third best site in terms of player traffic, so you should'nt have a problem finding a game. I found the lower stakes tables to be well populated for cash games, sit & gos aswell as mullti table tournaments, the site is literally teeming with fish no matter which format you prefer.

In order to cash in on Paddy Powers generous 150% signup bonus, all you have to do is click on the link at the bottom of this review, enter the promotion code: PPP600 and you will be eligible. The offer is up to a maximum of $600 which means if you deposit $400 you could recieve $600 worth of bonus money simply by playing on their site. You can deposit less and still be eligible for the offer, so if you only wanted to deposit $40 you could still get $60.

If you don't fancy going out on a Friday night, you could do a lot worse than check out the poker action on Paddy Power, they pump $1350 worth of cold hard cash across the prize pools of 6 select tournaments which you can join for the sum total of $25.30, I feel these tournaments give you an excellent chance of making a big score aswell as keeping you entertained for hours and giving you a chance to try out a few different tournaments formats. Well worth a try in my opinion.

Paddy Power accept all kinds of payment menthods, you can deposit money using Mastercard and Visa credit cards, Laser, Switch/Maestro and Solo debit cards, they also accept cheque. If you don't have any of these, fear not, you can deposit money into your poker account just by going into one of their high street betting shops with your account number and a form of photo ID.

I gladly report that Paddy Power Poker have a great customer service team. Not only do they have a multitude of ways for you to contact them, I also found their staff to be incredibly helpful and very capable of resolving issues on the spot. I phoned their UK freephone number and got straight through, I got a reply from their email support at poker@paddypower.com that same afternoon which was impressive seeing as there was an England International on that day, their live chat facility connected us straight away with a customer services representative who was able to either answer our queries straight away or find out the answer and email us back. That's decent customer service in my book.

I feel the area most worth checking out is the lower stakes action on both the cash table and multi table tournament sections, you will find enough poor players to make turning a profit a realistic proposition for above average players. Paddy Power don't accept US players, so their site is filled with mostly European competition and a significant amount of players residing from the UK and France. It's a friendly, chatty site and I believe a lot of the sportsbook members from other sites on the iPoker network such as Bet365, BetFred, Blue Square, Titan Poker, Victor Chandler and William Hill also play on their respective poker sites too, such is the low general standard across the network.
